Jennifer Jones started her own Interior Decorating and Design business in August 2001, at the age of 29. She successfully launched herself at Decorex 2001 catching attention with her Stetson and wearing her own logo t-shirts. Over the years the business has gone from strength to strength. After initially working on her own from her townhouse in Musgrave road, she got her own premise in Morningside.
Jennifer is a leading Interior decorator and designer who specializes in creating unique custom designed interiors, using interesting design elements to give each interior its own distinct character. She and her staff pride themselves on providing furnishings of superior quality with intricate attention to design and detail. In addition they provide every client with exceptional personal service and attention ensuring that their individual needs are met. She has successfully completed a wide range of projects, including ones in Johannesburg, Swaziland, Zimbali and the UK. Her work has been featured in various magazines including Top Billing, SA Homeowner and Garden and Home.
In July 2002, she was elected as Chairperson of The South African Guild of Interior Designers KZN Chapter –the youngest Chairperson to date, and succeeded in increasing the profile and activity of the Guild in her region.
The Guild has since become the South African Institute of Interior Design Professionals, a transition in which Jennifer played a key role . She is recognized as a Full Professional Interior Designer Member.
During her five years as Chairman of SAGID she headed up four community projects involving the renovation of various homes e.g.: TAFTA, CROW, The Society for the Blind and Youth For Christs’ Tennyson House, as well as organizing the SAGID Fashion Shows to raise money for I Care.
In 2002 Jennifer was involved in the making of the home makeover shows for the Buy Dezine Series screened on M-Net. In 2003 she was involved in the making of the home makeover reality TV Show, Trading on Style. In 2004, she was again involved in a show called Dulux Do’s and Don’ts! In addition to this she is regularly involved in various public speaking engagements and Television interviews, including Nedbanks “Fix Your Biz” in 2010. In addition, she was the face of one of Belgotex Carpets ranges, and endorsed their product through a widespread media campaign.
In 2005 she formed a partnership with Megs Tweedie and they successfully ran Durbans’ Premier decorating event, at that time Durban Decorators on Display, with Jennifer being involved in both the Umhlali Country Club Show, and the Queensbridge Estate Show in 2007.
In 2008, she was involved with yet another TV Series, Colour Splash, screened on M-Net, shortly before the birth of her little girl!!
